Born in Myanmar and taught to cook by her grandmother, Chef Suu has transformed her culinary journey into a mission to preserve and celebrate the recipes, traditions, and stories of her homeland. As the first Burmese contestant and runner-up on MasterChef US, she introduced audiences across the country to the depth and diversity of Burmese cuisine.

Through Burmalicious, Chef Suu presents thoughtfully curated tasting menus inspired by her heritage and made with culturally significant ingredients, including produce sourced from Burmese refugee farmers in Houston. Her work has earned recognition from Eater, CultureMap Houston, and the James Beard Foundation, including being named a 2025 James Beard Award semifinalist for Emerging Chef.

Guests will enjoy a five-course menu showcasing Chef Suu’s distinctive approach to Burmese cuisine—layered with aromatic spices, bright herbs, rich textures, and deeply rooted culinary traditions.

An optional wine pairing will be available for $65 per person, thoughtfully selected to complement each course. Cocktails will also be available for purchase throughout the evening.
