Toya's culinary journey began at just eight years old, learning in kitchens where recipes were passed down through observation and tradition. Since then, she's become a celebrated voice in food and storytelling — appearing on Food Network, TLC, the Hallmark Channel, NBC's Today Show, and CBS, and authoring three cookbooks, including her latest, Cooking From Scratch, which she describes as "the village everyone needs in a cookbook."
